Handmade is this coming Saturday 10 April, from 11-5.
We're hoping for sun shine and lots of visitors.
There will be some very talented sun-shiny artists at the Creative Open Workshops indoor market.
If you will be in Birmingham, do pop in and support local designer-makers. The Custard Factory is only a 5 minute walk from the Bullring.
Check out the COWblog for details of stallholders and directions.
Hope to see you there :)
Oh, and of course there will be cake. Check in during the week to find out what will be up my culinary sleeves for Saturday! :)

Lady Snail
Introducing Lady Snail..
She is really cute and you could make one of your very own tomorrow at COW HQ in the custard factory.
I was really pleased with how she turned out. I have changed my amigurumi snail pattern quite a bit since Monsieur Slow last summer, but I am delighted with the results.
We will also be making cute little ladybirds.
I may even get time to do some baking... (but don't hold me to that!)
Places still available too, contact us for details

Looking forward to tomorrow! :)

C.O.W announces 2 very special weekend workshops!!
At C.O.W we have just announced that there will be 2 guest artists coming to lead 2 very special workshops for us in February.
Designer Maker Judith Williamson will lead a Tinplate Jewellery Workshop on Saturday 6th February, from 1pm to 4pm.
Make a unique piece of wearable art using recycled biscuit, sweet and storage tins.
Learn hot to cut, hammer, pierce, distress, burn, bend and twist the metal to create your own special piece of jewellery.
Celebrated Ceramicist Jo Davis will lead a Porcelain Button Making Workshop on Saturday 20th February, from 1pm to 4pm.
She will bring along a series of plaster moulds of larger buttons in which various porcelain slips can be poured. The cast button will be applied with shellac after which it can be treated with different textures to creat a unique surface pattern.
Click here for more details :)
I'm really looking forward to both sessions!! :) :)

Pretty Fingerless Gloves
I'm so excited about his week's crochet workshop at C.O.W. I will be showing people how to make these pretty and practical fingerless gloves!
It is a brand new pattern that I have just finished designing, ( I designed 2 others before this one, but wasn't completely happy that they were the right patterns for the job) and I am really pleased with it. :)
For now the only way to get your hands on a Peeko original pattern is to come along to one of my workshops, but that may change next year...
There are still some spaces in tomorrow's workshop, chech out the COWblog for booking details.
Back to crocheting for me, I have lots to do before Handmade this weekend and I have a few commissions that I'm working on. Busy busy this time of year. :)

Handm@de Cambridge and the week to come :)
I was at Handm@de Cambridge yesterday and am thrilled at how it went. :)
It was a really nice day, everyone was lovely, organisers, exhibitors and the public! :)
My Necklac'd went down very well. :) It was refreshing to hear such lovely comments about my work and get such great feedback, it has spurred me on to create even more lovely crochet goodies. :)
On a seperate note, I have a busy week ahead of me: Workshops at C.O.W this week (crochet fingerless gloves on Thursday!!), then Handmade at the Custard Factory on Saturday. I have to fit paperwork and making in too. I should be okay though, I love what I'm doing! :)
I think I may just be able to squeeze in some making before dinner... maybe some fingerless gloves in preparation for Thursday... Then the Christmas decorations go up! :)
